Project Details:
£300m, 80,000 square metre hospital. The 670-bed Midland Metropolitan Hospital will offer maternity, children’s and inpatient adult facilities to half a million people. Located in Smethwick, the hospital will remain the closest acute hospital to the centre of Birmingham that caters for both adults and children.
Key Issues & How We Helped:
• Fire engineered building utilising HTM05 and BS9999 as benchmark.
• Early consultation with local Fire Service and Trust Fire Officer
• Through numerous meetings and formal consultation a constructive and proactive hand in approach adopted with local fire service
