Project Description:
The £45m redevelopment of Hume House in the centre of Leeds will result in 752 bedrooms being created. Meridian has provided Building Control Services from initial design for the developer (Olympian Homes) before being novated to the main contractor (RG Group) for the construction phase of the project, through to completion.
Key Issues & How We Helped
• Involvement from the early stages of design through to construction phase.
• Engaging with the fire service at the pre-consultation stage to agree design principles to minimise risk and give cost certainty.
• Provision of Building Control tracker to assist with design compliance.
