Project Summary:
This £56m new build of a civic centre for Hounslow Borough is sized at an impressive 1600m2 and is built over seven storeys incorporating a central Atrium and basement car park. The structure positions public-facing amenities at the ground floor and a library, adult learning and registrar at first floor. Above this are four floors of office spaces for the council, with the civic chamber positioned on the top floor.

  • Involvement from the early stages of design through to construction phase.
  • Advising design team on external wall requirements through the transitional introduction of the new guidance following the ban on combustible materials in high rise buildings.
  • Engaging with the fire service at the pre-consultation stage to agree design principles to minimise risk and give cost certainty.
  • High rise development incorporating fire-fighting shaft and wets rising mains.
  • Provision of Building Control tracker to assist with design compliance.
  • Provision of detailed photographic reports following each site inspection.
